UC Berkeley Psychedelics Survey
The UC Berkeley Psychedelics Survey is an evidence-based resource about attitudes toward psychedelics in the U.S. during a period of rapid legal, scientific, political, and cultural change. This is one of the first surveys tracking how public opinion about psychedelics is shifting over time—essential information for data-driven policymaking, public education, and understanding. We do not advocate for any specific policy positions or ballot measures.
UC Berkeley Psychedelics Survey 2025
In 2025, we made significant changes to the UC Berkeley Psychedelics Survey to tap into new areas of public opinion and improve the precision of our measurement. Our 2025 findings reveal a nuanced story: Exposure to psychedelics is gradually increasing over time, while support for scientific research and regulated therapeutic access is growing rapidly. Yet, significant concerns about the safety of psychedelics and stigma surrounding the use of psychedelics remain.
